Dayo racks up another win with the Beaverton Startup Challenge
Yo! Exciting news, Dayo, the app that actually rewards you for spending less time on social media, just scored another big win! Fresh off our victory at the Angel Oregon Technology competition, we've now nabbed one of three spots in the 2025 Beaverton Startup Challenge, landing a sweet $25,000 investment.

And Dayo is in good company. We are sharing the spotlight with two other promising startups: AlignICP, a B2B software company helping businesses zero in on their best customers (founded by local tech veteran Dan Sperring), and Pacmodo, a cool modular backpack company started by ex-Nike pros David Ngene and Sebastian Tesche.
This year the Beaverton Startup Challenge, run by the Oregon Startup Center, only picked three winners instead of their usual five. That's the second year in a row they've kept it super selective, making Dayo's win even more impressive.
The challenge itself is pretty remarkable. Over its 10-year run, it's pumped $1.2 million into 46 local startups, who've gone on to raise more than $100 million in additional funding. We are happy to be part of that tradition.
